Collaborative Conference for Student Achievement 2015

Session Title: Digital Tools for the 21st Century Administrator: During this interactive session, participants will be introduced to a suite of digital tools administrators can use for communication and collaboration. Time will be given to explore and practice using the new tools and to discuss ways they can be used in professional practice. Laptop or Tablet required.

Standard IIIa: Focus on Collaborative Work Environment: The principal/assistant principal understands and acts on the understanding of the positive role that a collaborative work environment can play in the school's culture.
Standard Vc. Systematic Communication: The principal/assistant principal designs and utilizes various forms of formal and informal communication so that the focus of the school can be on improved student achievement.
Standard VIa. Parent and Community Involvement and Outreach: The principal/assistant principal designs structures and processes which result in parent and community engagement, support and ownership for the school.

Learner Outcomes

  • Participants will understand the importance of modeling effective technology integration as an administrator.
  • Participants will explore various digital tools for communication and collaboration and practice with two of their choice
  • Participants will discuss ways the tools can be used in their professional practice.
