Participants will explore the North Carolina Educator Evaluation System process for Principals and Assistant Principals. We will examine the North Carolina Standards for School Executives and the evaluation process, access the on-line tool and begin to create relevant connections between 21st century leadership and the evaluation system.

Beginning Teacher Training: This 3-5 hour interactive training is designed to support beginning teachers or teachers new to North Carolina. Understanding the evaluation process and the North Carolina Educator Evaluation Instrument are the core elements of this training.


August 22, 2012: Inter-Rater Reliability for Experienced Administrators ~ Northwest RESA


Inter-Rater Reliability: This 3-5 hour interactive presentation allows experienced administrators to view the classroom evaluation process from the lens of a middle-school administrator. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss ratings, dig deeply into evidences, and work together to create coaching questions to probe as well as push teachers to the next rating level.

Understanding by Design Refresher Session: This 2.5 hour, interactive refresher course highlights the major components of each of the three stages of Understanding by Design.

Using TPACK to Support Classroom Teachers
The purpose of this 6-hour interactive training, designed for media specialists, instructional technology specialists, and other media/technology support staff, is to provide an awareness of the 21st century classroom and TPACK. Participants have opportunities to explore web 2.0 tools and their alignment with content and pedagogy.
